I'm feeling very down and like no one cares about me. All my friends seem to be getting married and having children. They all sing the same story, "things won't change, we'll still hang out" and then I barely hear from them again.

I feel like I don't have any friends anymore and it's a major bummer. How are you supposed to go about getting new friends when you're in your late twenties?

Your mid-to-late twenties can be a terrible period in your life for friendship, especially when you're single. As you said, many people start to settle down at that age and with marriage, children, and work comes a lot of responsibility and not much time for anything else. I went through something similar myself where I was one of the last of my friends to settle down and kind of get left behind as a result. It's not fun.

My recommendation would be to pick up some new hobbies and maybe join some clubs related to those hobbies. You're bound to meet people with similar interests and then you can see where things go from there. There's also an app called Bumble which has a section for finding friends, you might want to give that a try.

I hope this has helped!

My BPD was BPDing yesterday. I feel a bit better today. I appreciate the response.

Maybe I'll try Bumble but I live in a small town that's in the middle of nowhere. There's just not that many people here and most of them are tied up with commitments.
